Think Pink! - Breast Cancer Awareness

Surprise, surprise I am back - twice in one week I know it's a rare occurrence but this time it's for a very good cause!!  The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness and having friends that have been or are going through this wanted to join and do my bit, so today I went to a Fundraiser hosted by a lovely friend.

Firstly, I thought I would have to buy myself a 'pink' t-shirt and me being me had to change it in some way, so I found out the image kindly donated from the wonderful Krista from Saturated Canary (Called Boobie Love - Here) printed onto T-Shirt transfer added to my top and coloured with Copics (because my t-shirt is bright pink it did not colour too well but it was fine), a couple of people said they wanted one!!!

Sorry, not a very clear photo!
Close up of the image!

I had already offered to bake cupcakes for the day, but then thought (having seen it on the internet) to make some cupcakes into a bouquet which could be auctioned off to raise a few more dollars, every bit helps, here they are:
Vanilla Cupcakes with Vanilla buttercream Icing!
The Pink ribbons I made from white icing dyed pink!!

There is more...... I then saw a post on the Copic Oz blog where they would donate $5 to the McGrath Foundation for every entry into this challenge, so here is my entry:
They are bookmarks or a little gift for someone again made using the beautiful Boobie Love image from Saturated Canary, the papers are Carta Bella - Paris Girl range, along with a Martha Stewart Border & butterfly punch then adding ribbon and pink bling!!

Copics used: E000,00,21,11,93,50,51,53,57, W0,1,3,5,7 YG93, RG6,10
Close up of one!

Reverse of Tag!
I printed the words onto the pink paper then cut out using spellbinder Labels 17, then stuck on the reverse,  decorated using liquid pearls.
These could be purchased and again all donations went to the fundraiser!!

Thank you for stopping by, wishing you all a wonderful week.
Take care

Dinosaur Birthday Lolly Bags....

Hello everyone, well last week was my little boys 2nd Birthday where has the time gone!!! To celebrate we had a morning tea with his little friends at home (whilst the bigger kids were at kinder) so this worked out very well.  I went with a kind of Dinosaur theme and made lolly bags from red envelopes which were from Envelope Solutions, then stamped the image onto punched out tags then coloured.  I altered the image with my 0.3 multiliner by adding the little sign and wrote each name on the tag!!!!  I would like to enter this project into the Mad for Markers October Challenge - Using Copic Multiliners somewhere/somehow!!

Here is a close up of the tag with the added sign and name!!
Copics used: YG91, 93, 95, 99, B93, R27, C5 and Black 0.3 Multiliner

The cake which I was talked into making by my auntie was a train and thankfully she did as I was very pleased, here is a picture of our little man about to blow out the candle!!  I also made dinosaur shortbread and dinosaur cake pops!!
All in all it was a great week. This week has not been quite as fun as myself and Charlie came down with a sickness bug Monday evening but thankfully it only lasted 24 hours - so all better now.  Just need to get myself back into crafting as I have two cards to get completed before the weekend and a Christmas card order along with a few other things.

Hope you all have a wonderful week.

Purple and Orange Magnolia

Finally, it's been a while. not that I don't have things to share just that there does not seem to be enough hours in the day to get everything done and updating my blog seems to get pushed to the bottom of the never ending list!!!  Spent the day on Saturday at my local Scrapbooking store (Creative Dreams, Boronia) for their grand opening into the new store doing demonstrations using various in store products!!!  It's always good to sit and be doing the things you love.

Here is a card and tag I completed recently which I had intended using for a challenge, but unfortunately did not get to upload in time, therefore would now like to share and enter this into the Mad for Markers Challenge - Anything Goes, the papers were taken from two Kaisercraft paper pads - Devonshire Collection and the Madame Boutique, the colour inspiration came from the free embellishment pack from one of my craft magazines which included the felt/button flowers and ribbon.  The Magnolia images were coloured using copics:

Copic Colours used:
E50, 51, 53, 11, 95, 13, 17

Blender & Clear Spica

Over the last few days have been making canvas peg boards which are available to purchase, if interested please feel free to email for information.
Many thanks, hope you have a great week.

M4M - July Challenge (Mimosa Hat Bildmalarna)

I know it's been a while, sorry have been a bit slack with blogging, lot's of things happening and many projects on the go! We have just had two weeks half term holidays and the first week Charlie was sick with temp, cold and cough and then Harvey the second week so we spent lots of time at home!!

Had a tidy up in my craft room and realised that I had two beautiful Bildmalarna stamps from Bizzy Becs that I had not yet used so off I set and thought I would join in the wonderful challenge taking place at Mad for Markers which is to use only B, BG and BV Copic markers. Now there is a bit of a story to this card I merrily coloured the image and promptly made the card and whilst looking at it realised that little Mimosa was actually sitting in mid-air!!!  So had to think how to fix up without pulling the card apart..... so here we go, I stamped this image onto a post it note and stuck over the top of my coloured image then inked and stamped the Magnolia swing over the top, only it did not stamp very well so had to fill in the gaps and add a type of cushion that she would be sitting on as the swing was stamped a little low and this is it.... am pretty happy how she turned out, hope you like it!!
 Copics used: Hair & Skin: E50, 51, 53, 11, 93, 43, 47, 49
Hat, Shoes & Clothes: BG000, 01, 10, 09, 15, 23, 72, 75, 78, 93, 96, 99
The paper was a Kaisercraft Paper Pad - Madame Boutique

Mad for Markers July Challenge - Creations using only B, BG and BV Copic markers.

I have also been spending my time Knitting scarves, making Hair Clips, note books, baking and of course looking after two boys!!  Last Friday we had a PJ day at home so as well as getting some housework done baked Whoopie Pies with Charlie which were very nice and a Banana Cake. Then the weekend I whipped up some vanilla cupcakes with Chocolate buttercream icing which I was very proud of....

This week I received my collection of Tim Holtz distress markers which am looking forward to having a play with and am excited about receiving my Magnolia stamps from the new collection which I have been informed have been shipped from Bizzy Becs!!!

Thought I would also show you a couple of the hair clips that I have been making, which have been a big hit with the mums at kinder and friends. (Sorry computer has decided not to upload anymore pictures so hopefully next time)
Looking forward to bringing you more sometime soon, thank you for stopping by.

Special Friend & Wedding

Hi all,

Thank you for stopping by, sorry it's been a while the last few weeks have been a little hectic with having sick children, the usual for this time of the year colds, coughs etc, and Harvey managed to pick up hand, foot and mouth but trust him not to get the usual he had very large blisters on this feet and ankles as well as a sore throat, thankfully for now we are all back to normal, just need Charlie to get rid of his cough!!!

The boys and I did painting last week which was great fun, laid large sheets of brown paper on the floor and they just stamped and painted  which is great to use as wrapping paper - especially with so many birthdays coming up!!  The Occasional care that Harvey goes to had a Mum's night where I had a table selling my cards which was very good, and have since started taking them to my local playgroup for people to purchase and place orders, one of the orders was for a 'Special Friend' card which I will show you, as I just adore it, using the beautiful Tiddly Inks Wryn and Emmy - BFF, the papers are from Prima - Songbird Collection, the banner I made by printing the words onto cream cardstock then folding and inking, the die cut behind the image is a spellbinders cut, fold and tuck - Floral Burst. The image was coloured using copics.

Copics used: E000, 00, 02, 30, 31, 33, 34, 35, 13, 17, 27 BV000 YG91, 93, 95 YR000, 00, 02, 04, 20 W02, 03, 05, 07
I would like to enter this card into the following challenge:

The other special card that I have created is for our lovely neighbours who are getting married this June, so I would like to wish them all the very best and hope they have a fantastic day. Once again have used another beautiful Tiddly Inks image You & Me, the papers are BoBunny Gabrielle Collection which I have had in my stash for a while along with flowers & pearls, again the tag was printed from the computer and cut out using spellbinders Labels Seventeen and of course the image was coloured using copics.

Easter!!

Hi everyone, hope you all had a safe and happy Easter, we had a quiet one at home with a couple of BBQ's to friends.  The boys loved their mini Easter egg hunt I did on Sunday morning around the house, with Charlie waking us up at 6.45am saying that the Easter bunny had been!!!  Then on Easter Monday we went to friends where Charlie got to have a ride on a horse for the first time and he was so excited and loved it!!
The boys checking out their goodies!!!
Charlie ready for his first horse ride on Crystal!

Charlie and I also got to spend sometime together and enjoyed a morning at the movies whilst Harvey was in Occasional Care, so we watched Dr Seuss - The Lorax which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Thankfully, I still managed to get some me time so I went to the Paperific show where I managed to pick up some good bargains as well as spend some time catching up on ordered cards and having a play and colouring with copics!!!! Here is an Easter card which I created using the beautiful Murray from Saturated Canary , my apologies as did not keep a note of the copic colours used, although the daffodil is one from Hooked on Craft which was just perfect for this card!

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Drummer Boy!!

Hi everyone,

Sorry it's been a while since my last post, it has been a bit hectic and really not sure where the time has gone let alone the month of March!!

Had a few appointments with my little man Harvey, one was to see an eye consultant as he is long sighted and his left eye turns in, they were hoping to change his current lenses and make stronger to try and correct this unfortunately they are the strongest they can go, so it is a case of keep a close eye on him (pardon the pun!) and the possibility that he may have to have an operation.  Then, the other appointment was for his Kidneys, as when I was 20wks pregnant with him they picked up that he had Left Renal Kidney dilation, they have been checking this with ultra sounds and unfortunately at the last checkup it had grown so we were referred to a consultant who requested a Renal Scanning to look at the blood supply, function and excretion of the kidney, this was something that I would not like to go through again nor see my little man go through it was heartbreaking, he had to have a cannula put in which took two attempts eventually getting this into his arm with 3 people holding him down as well as him being strapped to the scanning bed, where he then had to stay for almost an hour before having to go back on their twice for further photos.  We are awaiting an appointment with the consultant for results.

Hence, my mind has not been in crafting mode, this is probably why my craft desk is currently all over the place with half finished projects on it!!! Although I did get to make this card just prior to all of this for my partners nephew's birthday, he is a mad keen drummer in a band that's why I thought this Metal Drummer image appropriate from Kenny K.

The image was coloured using copics (sorry cannot find the list), I did say I was in a mess!!
Thank you for stopping by and hopefully I will be back soon.

All White except Image!!

Hello bloggers

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, can't believe it has been and gone already!! Took the boys to Kaisercraft at the DFO on Saturday morning, mum got to have a wonder and purchase just a few things, whilst Charlie had his face painted for the first time with a spiderman theme:
He was so proud of it that he did not want to take it off before going to bed, but I can assure you this was not staying on as I did not want red & black bedding!!!  Anyway, Friday evening I managed to do some crafting and I made a card to fit in with a few challenges:
This was something that I had never tried before using all white except the image, which was a challenge but good fun, this image is from D'Arcy's Diaries part of the Teddy Bo & Co Group, the large heart was cut out using nestabilities as was the image using mega ovals LG and the tiny hearts were punched using a 'personal impressions' punch the sentiment was a stamp that I had in my stash and then embellished with pearls and ribbon.

If you have not done so already it is worth checking out http://www.hookedoncraft.com/ as for the month of February they are having a Birthday Sale and it is FREE postage worldwide on retail orders over $75, and also not forgetting over at Bizzy Becs she has lots of new and exciting goodies for 2012.
 Copics:
E000,00,11,13,30,31,35
W0,1,2,3,5,7
R59, G00
RV10,13,14

The challenges I would like to enter this card into are:
Bizzy Becs February Challenge  - All White except Image
By the Cute and Girly - February Love is in the Air

Have a great week everyone, thank you for stopping by.

1st Day at Kinder

Well today it was my sons first day at Kinder, he was so excited we had everything ready the night/day before including his snacks in the new lunch bag, which he was so proud of, we had labelled everything which he helped by putting his name into the label printer!!!  For his first day I made him a special card and included $5 to do as he wished (his choice to put it in his money box!) When he sat down for breakfast, I gave him the envelope to open and his face was priceless, he was so pleased that he wanted to take it to show his new teacher. Here is the card:
As well as our words, I included stickers inside the card that read remember: enjoy, shine, laugh & friends x
Charlie
Charlie & Harvey

When I collected Charlie from Kinder we went for a special lunch together where he got to have a Chino with chocolate sprinkled on top and a marshmallow (his favourite) and an extra large cookie, which he did share a small piece with his brother, so all in all a good day was had. So proud of you Charlie x

The card was made using the Kaisercraft 'Class of '87 Collection' along with Kaiser stickers for wording some ribbon from my stash and a button which I coloured with copics to match the image.
The image is one of the many digi images from Mo Manning, I just love her images.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenge
