40th Birthday Card!

It has been so long since posting, apologies have really neglected my blog of late. Anyway wanted to share with you a card which I recently made by request from a friend's husband for her 40th Birthday. It was a privilege to make this card. The image used was from TiddlyInks the beautiful 'Bloom Beautifully".

Unfortunately I seem to have mislaid the Copic colours I used!
The papers were from a Kaisercraft Paper Pad 'The Lake House', the large 40 was cut on my Cricut and the ovals were a Spellbinders die.

Hope to be back sometime soon with some more projects that I am currently working on.

Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas in July

Today is just a short post, have been trying to make a start on some Christmas cards so thought I would share my second card using a Stamping Bella stamp (Ketto).

The image was stamped with watermark inkpad then heat embossed using snowflake embossing tinsel. The paper used is 25 Days of Christmas by Simple Stories. I tried a new technique by using some Opals Embossing Enamel (Sandstone) on to my base red card and heated from underneath. The lamp post stamp, ribbon & Charm were purchased from Creative Dreams, Boronia.

Today Charlie had a birthday party so last night I set about making a birthday card, working on the theme from the cupcakes which they had on Friday at school!
The minions were created using various punches and my dymo printer for the wording.
All the kids had a great time at Bounce!!

Thank you for stopping by.

Days till Christmas!

Hi everyone,

No this is not the correct days till Christmas it is I believe 193. Anyway, the project I am sharing with you today was initially for a guest design team post for M4M, but unfortunately the challenge blog has ended. The theme was a Christmas photo and I immediately had an idea of what I wanted to do, so here it is:
It is a Days till Christmas plaque the image is Dancing with Stars Tilda, I think she is just adorable. I started with a Kaisercraft place mat which I painted with black chalkboard paint, then covered and die cut  the snowflakes using TPCStudio Winter Whites (Snowfall) paper along with Echo Park - Borders paper which have all been in my stash since last Christmas waiting to be used!.
The image was colored using Copics:
E000, 00, 11, 21, 93 (Skin), E53, 55, 57, 59 (Hair)
W1, 2, 3, 5, 7 & Y11 Clear Spica & Kindy Glitz
Spellbinders: Layerd Poinsettia, Foliage & 2012 Snowflake Pendant
Embossing Folder: Couture Creations - Super Powder Puff

Turning 6!

Well here we are again, I know it's been a while, time just seems to run away from me!! Just last week we had my son's 6th Birthday where have the last 6 years gone or where has my baby gone! Wanted to share with you the card I made for him.
The image used is called Skateboarding from Saturated Canary, he was coloured using copics, the paper was an old Kaisercraft collection which I had in my stash along with the wall embossing folder inked with distress markers, the Happy Birthday is a rub-on and the no.6 a felt sticker.
Copics: E0000, 000, 00, 11, 51, 53, 57, 25, YG91, 93, 95, 99, W2, 3, 5, 7, C2, 3, 5, 9, Y23, 26, 28, YR27
This is my boy at his party just getting ready for the cake, which was made by myself along with the cupcakes. He wanted Power Rangers theme!
His best friend from school also celebrated his birthday a couple of weeks ago and below is the card I made for him using Soccer Edwin, coloured with copics:
E0000, 000, 00, 11, R11, E30, 34, 35, 37 C1, 3, 5, 7, B91, 93, 95, 99, R24, 27

It has been all birthdays recently, a friend celebrated hers and Charlie kindly made her a card, yes he enjoys colouring as much as mum!
I think he does very well for a 6 year old boy!

As well as cards I was recently playing with my Cricut Expression and trying new things one being cutting out heat set vinyl and putting on to t-shirts for the boys and this is the end result. My inspiration for these came from a blog http://imperfectlybeautifulms.blogspot.com.au/ I found whilst surfing. The boys thought they were great.

Anyway it's time to say goodnight, wishing you all a great week and hope to be back sooner rather than later with a project that I have completed and am very pleased with.
Thank you for stopping by.

Autumn Colours

Today was one of those days where we stayed in PJ's until around midday, then had lunch and sat around watching TV, I did manage some housework this morning!! Then whilst little one was sleeping ventured into my craft room I say that as I desperately need to re-organsie things it seems that other craft projects/ideas are filling up floor space!!

Then I remembered a week ago spending a few evenings colouring with my copics, so this afternoon I set about using the wonderful image "Thank You" from Saturated Canary to turn it into a card for use in the following Challenges:
April Mad for Markers Here 'Autumn Leaves Picture'
April Bizzy Becs Here 'Tic Tac Toe'  (Die/Bling/Lace/Ribbon)

The papers are from a Kaisercraft paper pad Hunt & Gather along with dark green & tangerine card stock, I used the 5x7 Detailed Scallops Spellbinder, petite ovals and petite scalloped ovals along with ribbon, lace, rhinestones, flowers & leaves.

Copics were: E0000,000,00,11, R20, E40,41,43,47 C2, YR23,24,27, YG91,93,95,99,
W1,3,5,7, R83

Wishing you all a lovely week. Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Easter!

Hi everyone,

I know it's been a while, just wanted to share some projects with you.  Yesterday it was our last playgroup session for this term so I made some Easter themed cupcakes to take along, the kids and adults loved them!

Then I wanted to make a little something for Charlie to take into School for his Buddy and Teacher!  So I took inspiration for the decorated egg box by Caroline Whelan and did my own using the lovely Bloom Beautifully - Emma digi image by Tiddly Inks and used an old paper range from Kaisercraft called Little Miss along with ribbon & flowers!

The image was coloured using copics:
E000,00,21,11,93,17
YR20, 24, 27
Y21,23,26,28
R81,83,85
G000,00,21,24,82
Clear Spica
I would like to enter this into the M4M - March 'New' Easter Challenge

Here is the inside of the box filled with yummy eggs!!

For Charlie's school buddy I did this Rabbit bag made up of paper plates and covered with paper etc. Which I must say Charlie thought was very cool!!

Wishing you all a very hoppity & egg-cellent Easter.
Best Wishes

M4M - Feb Guest Designer

I would like to say a big thank you to M4M for giving me the opportunity to be their guest designer for February!  When I received the email with the challenge details (Oscars theme. Movies think of your favourite movie character or the glitz and glamour of the red carpet), my first thought was my goodness what shall I do, then immediately I thought of Alice in Wonderland and then remembered I had an image from Some Odd Girl off the 'Mad Hatter' so I set about colouring him and the card came to life.

The copics used were: E000,00,11,21, W1,2,3,5,7, G94. Papers are Graphic45 'Halloween in Wonderland Collection' , the clapper board I found on the internet, negatives were from my old photo stash then added peel off sticker border and stars, also added the chipboard teacup & spoon again coloured with copics!
Don't forget to pop over and enter your creation into the M4M February challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Where has time gone!!

Where has the time gone!  This year has been a little hectic so far, I spent January getting organised and preparing for my first born Son (Charlie) to start School, thankfully all went well and he is having a great time!
As well as planning for my Dad & Step mum's arrival to Australia for dad's 60th Birthday, we did lots of day trips as well as spending days in the pool at home and had a wonderful meal out for dad's birthday, sadly their visit came to end on 7th Feb and they are now safely back in England. This was my first card I made for the new year (of course Dad's birthday card), there was one other card which you will see later in the week as it was for a Guest DT spot.
The numbers were cut on my cricut, the papers are a very old Kaisercraft range 'Lone Ranger'.

 Copics used: E0000,000,00,11,21,93 B24, W1,2,3,5,7, YG91,93,95,99, R29

Am also in the midst of putting together an order for 30 Baby Shower invites, which I will post sometime soon.
Wishing you all a lovely week.
